Please allow me to sign your Guestbook as a member of the Permanent
Staff with the 1st Battalion, The Royal Irish Fusiliers.
I was a member of the Army Catering Corps and went with the lads to
Lybia on the troopship Devonshire and I was mostly in the Officers
mess at Medenine Barracks.
I was demobed in 1960

The Branch meeting for Saturday the 3rd February will take place at
the Hanson Sports & Social (Arc Club) Colburn Catterick Garrison at
2pm.
I look forward to meeting up with you all again and to the usual good
turn out.
The get together held at the Arc Club 6th January was NOT a Branch
meeting but merely a request by some members to just get the lads to
meet up and generally chat about 2006, (withdrawl symptoms after the
New Year and a need to get out of the house) have a beer and the craic
together.
So I would like to thank those who turned out and to Jimmy Kavanagh
for the yet again excellent buffet.
2006 was a brilliant year for the Branch and heres hoping 2007 is at
least as good or better.
To ALL the Rangers Branches- All the best in 2007.
To ALL those serving their country, Stay Safe.
