Having served with both 1 R I Irish and 2 R Irish and having a father
that served in both regiments and is now sadly deceased. The R Irish
have made me what I am today a WO1 in the British Army. God Bless all
currently serving personnel and retired and not forgetting those that
have given their lives for the cause of peace and harmony throughout
the world. Eddie

Enjoyed the site my maternal Grandfather Patrick Langtry enlisted in
The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers Pvt 19609 on 01/06/1915 and served in
France.
I believe he was gassed at some stage and suffered lots of health
problems on his return.
