Glen, as yet i have not seen what has been published in the forum regarding the closure of the depot, but if what your saying the official closure was in march does this not make the situation even worse, FAB

once a soldier always a soldier
once a remf always a remf

Soldiers have a great respect for each other, they understand each other. How can anyone expect some arse sitting behind a desk understand that or care about that. But im sure some one will get a gong for doing a good job at closing the depot down

Having been in comms with the Depot I feel we (inc. myself) have moved to hastily to judge the conduct of others regarding the recent shut down of the Depot, and its removal from the Order of Battle within the Army.
Gerry, our webmaster is about to get an official line on the event which he will publish, but for now I advise the PUBLIC and OFFICIAL closure happened in March.
The present Regimental Colonel is Lt. Colonel A. Hart who most of us will know as a fine Ranger Officer and I believe a SITREP will follow.
As stated previous: the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish Regiment is our Home now. Those men require our continued loyalty, support and comraderie.

I have read the comments from our disgusted members of the Regt. I moved to THE DEPOT from Eglington as an instructor. THE DEPOT was re-furbished to take the North Irish Brigade and no matter what happens in the future it will always be our home. Perhaps the individuals who where invited should take the time to comment, but then they probibly don't even look in our own WEB SITE.

Good morning to all in Ranger Land,
I have read all that evryone has said about the Depot and I agree that the way that she was closed down was nothing but a sham!
We all shold have been given an invite and if it took all day for us to march off the square for for the last time then it should have happened.

RHQ take note, you are there, where there, to help us all, we where the ones that keep you all in YOUR jobs. With out us walking through them gates when we joined up many years ago you people would not have your jobs. But you lot forget very quickley where you all come form, as your all up some ones ass trying to look good and better yourselves.

What you all have done will hunt you all for ever as we the "True Ranger Family" will always remind you of this!

To All in the Ranger Family remember "We are The People" if your not in an association then please go out and join one, you will find your local one on here. If you want to keep the Ranger Name alive dont just come on here and shout about it, get off your ass once a month and make your voice heard. Help keep the Ranger name alive. The associations do a lot of work and run trips days out social avents so we all can meet up 3-4 times a year. We could do a lot more if more jion and work together. I have been in touch with other branches and trying to bring beanches together for days out and events. It's takes time but well worth it. If we all work together then big events can happen but it will take us all to pull together. Team work is what its all about lads. We become stronger if we work on our own we will loose it all! Maybe thats what they want!!

If you love our Regiment as we all say we do then lads make your mark! Actions speek louder than words!

Hello To all the Ranger family.

Well after reading about the closer of St Patricks Bks does it really surprise anyone. We the Rangers where sold out in 1992 ???? And they have been trying to forget the history of the Rangers since then. But let them try, those Senior Officers ( Blow inns) with no understanding of the Irish mans spirit. We the Irish Rangers will never go away. We have enough good men and woman to keep the Ranger family together.
Big Charlie Beattie looking forward to are night out mate and seeing some old friends. Back home in August
