I have been doing some research regarding the involvement of Irish
regiments duringWW2 and i came across a character called red
cushen.
He appears to have led a very colourful military career,He was from
Tipperary and served with the IRA, US army Spanish civil war and
finally with the Royal Irish Fusiliers.
He was a POW during the war having been captured in 1940, he served
with the Faughs until his retirement 1963.
He would have been slightly before me but I am sure that there are
many ex faughs who would remember this character I would appreciate
your comments
