It is with regret that I have to announce the death of Nicky Wright
(ex 1st Battalion The Royal Irish Rangers). Nicky, a long-time friend
was killed in a motorcycle RTA on Friday 10th August. He will be sadly
missed by wife Julie, sons Jamie, Matthew, Daniel and daughter April.
Funeral has yet to be arranged.

Sorry to hear of the Depot closing,i joined in '68 just after
the amalgamation and passed out in Vittoria pl.Looking at some of the
posts on this subject i can quite understand the anger expressed here
especially those Rangers who have continued to look to the Rangers
long after they have left the Regiment.the explinations given for this
covert operation are feeble and do not deserve airing on this web site
as usual the senior officers of this regiment have let the bread and
butter soldiers of this historic Regiment down ...again!!! It seems
the PC Brigade have infiltrated RHQ,thank goodness we have people like
Gerry who really has our Regiment at Heart unlike another
'Hart'..disgraceful....
