I would like to thank ALL those who turned out as part of the Royal
Irish Rangers Yorkshire Branch contingement for the Remembrance Sunday
Parade in Richmond.
We certainly made the mark of Regimental Pride noticable both in our
dress code and professionalism to all those turning out to watch the
parade.
This professionalism and committment was noted by the number of
excellent comments we received from prominent serving/ex-serving and
civilian personnel.
On a special note, my Thanks on behalf of the Yorkshire Branch to Gary
for a highly commendable first parade as the Branch Standard Bearer
and Mike for the Laying of the Wreath at the Cenotaph.
As for the rest of the day/night following the parade, excellent.
To the lads who made the evening a success both with ample food and
cheap ale, MANY THANKS.

My father (Christopher) served with the Faughs during and after WW2,
pretty handy with the gloves by all accounts. So I have always had an
affection for the Royal Irish. In Sierra Leone a couple of years back
I joined the 'brotherhood' to lay a wreath on the grave of
WO2 CSM O'Hare in the King Tom Cemetery in Freetown. Should any
family member see this, please rest assured the cemetery and graves
are well maintained. By chance this year in Upavon I discovered the
grave of Lt Calverley DSO, Royal Flying Corps, (Late Royal Irish
Rifles). In a simple act of rememberance we made sure the Lt was not
forgotten this year.

Well done Brad. Who would ever thought it, a commission. Always
thought you would go far, although at the time I was thinking more of
a package holiday to Benidorm !
