The Royal Irish Rangers 40th Anniversary Parade ( Catterick )
Ladies & Gentlemen
I visited the Yorkshire Branch on Saturday to add input to the details
of the parade.
I am pleased now to announce that the details have been finalised.
The parade will take place on Saturday the 5th July 2008 at Gaza
Barracks, Catterick and Richmond Town. The days details are as
follows:-
Wives and partners are encouraged and welcome.
All personnel in the parade need to be there by 10am on the morning of
the 5th at the latest, Coffee/Tea and biscuits are provided before the
parade.
Form up at 11am

March Off and Salute 12.45pm approx.
Mount Buses for Richmond 13.00
March Off in Richmond at 13.30pm

March Off and Salute.
Lunch will be a Hot & Cold Buffet provided in the Civil Service club
after the Richmond Parade (We have the full use of the Civil Service
club for the whole day) Bars will be open after the parade.
After Lunch we will be entertained by the Brewery Boys. and later in
the evening there will be a Disco with Irish Stew.
Tickets for the whole day including all food and entertainment will be
12.00 and are available from Joe Mills of the Yorkshire Branch,
Mobile 07736 383276 after 6PM as he works during the day.
Now everything is down to you to make the day a resounding success, I
ask all who are able to please attend, as this will probably be the
last major Rangers event, as most of us are not getting any
younger.
And the lads of the Yorkshire Branch have worked very hard for all our
benefits and deserve our full support, as there were no 40th
Celebrations available elsewhere at the time.

Hi to all who i served with in osnabruck 86-91. Why i'm on heard
is to ask has anyone heard the names of those CP workers kidnapped in
Iraq a month ago. I have been told through rumor control that they are
all ex members of the royal irish plus i was given a name of a very
good friend Anto Wickham ex 2nd Batt/3 Royal Irish as one of those
taken. Can anyone confirm if this is true or false.

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I have established comms
with Geordie Watton via email and he wishes to let eveyone know that
he too is safe and sound, currently in Libya on a 2 year contract. He
also wants to thank everyone for their concern about his safety.
