Hi all, today I was listening to Talk back on radio Ulster and a
member of the public came on and wanted the !st Batt to march in
Belfast City Centre with the Colours Flying High.
I know that the lads would have alot more on there minds after what
they have been through. But maybe before the year is out it would be
good to see them marching in the city with the Colours and the people
could come out and show the lads how much they mean to us all. it
really would be a glorious site.

Have just came back from a week end in Inverness, have seen some of
our wounded and to see them in fine form would make anyone proud to
have been part of such a band of brothers. Although regrettably we
have lost brave soldiers in Afghanistan the courage of the Bn should
never be underestimated. Of those injured in contacts the majority
chose to get their wounds cleaned up and stay in theatre, the more
seriously wounded did not want to leave. Its shows the calibre of our
Bn and those serving FAB
