With sadness I heard of the death of Mick Fann. I first met him over 35 years ago when I was appointed chief pot belly stove stoker and coffee maker in the instruction wing at Cattrick. This was followed by the Rarden Cannon Trials and finally as his APC platoon clerk in Warminster. A man of great intelligence and little patience but I for one believe I am a better person just for knowing him.

Just a few lines to say thankyou for some fond memories of my days in the Regiment 1982 - 85. looking at the guestbook and seeing some familiar names has taken me back to some wild days with 1st Batt 5 platoon B Coy. Will I ever make it to a Liverpool match or just go to the bar?
