"sit rep" The trip to B"HAM was a sucess in many ways.
First of ,one of the lads is no longer on the danger list , infact
when we seen him he was awake sitting up and laughing with us he is
fully aware of what happened and is at peace with himself, the craic
was ninety as the saying goes! his family arrived from fiji today to
the best news they could have ever dreamed of. ALLY is making slow but
steady progress and we all shared a few hours of special times its
going to just take time .On behalf of myself and W02 Plaice we would
like to thank his family for there warmth and friendship and courage
which is an example to us all.It goes with out saying we took everones
well wishes with us to Ally and his family.Keep the messages coming
for when we read them to him his smile would brighten any room. Many
thanks to every one for there messages keep them coming lads. F.A.B

Hi to all in Ranger land, This web site has brought all in this Family
together right now like never before. The 1st Batt are on the front
line, and doing an outstanding job. I know that a lot of the old and
bold are thinking about the lads out there and wish them all well and
that they come home safe. When you read all that has been put on here
in makes you proud to be Irish and to have been a Ranger.
Tonight The North Down Branch of the Royal Irish Rangers Association
had are first meeting from the summer break and it was a very good
turn out. But we would like anyone that lives in the North Down area
that is not a member of an association to come along and join us. We
meet on the 3rd Firday of every month in the TA Centre Crawfordsburn
road Newtownards at 2000hrs.
At times like this it really good to meet up, catch up on the passed,
and to hear news on the brave lads in the 1st Batt, we are a
family,that there is no dout.
Again I would like to thank Gerry for making this all happen and to
the CO and RSM of the 1st batt, if your reading this thank you for
keeping us all updated, let the lads know that we are proud of every
one of them and to come home safe and Belfast waits for them to march
passed the city hall with our Colours flying, Rangers Fly the Flag!
