" FOR MARTY"
For every life that is saved next year on operations, for every limb and wound that will be treated in the correct manner, under fire and pressure beyond belief , will be down to you my friend .For the skills you have passed on to the young Rgr's these last few months these things and many more will stand the test of time.

You left much more than just memorys behind , you left us all with actions that speak louder than words and the respect and manners of a true gent.

Every time i walk by your! medical centre i see your face and smile ,that old 2nd Bn! swagger and look you had , you were in truth the complete IRISH SOLDIER that many long to be my friend.

It was a honour and joy to have known you and to share your friendship. I mourn your loss but rejoice in the fact of the celebration of your life that touched so many and saved many more...

Your beloved son arrives here with us next year to follow on what you left behind. A hard act to follow but then your friends here will make sure that happens my friend.

Thank you for being with us mate and giving us all something to remember for the rest of our lifes.

It was a joy mate.... F.A. B.....

This message is for the three.. 1st Batt ..guy's who forwarded there C V's to me with the view of possible employment. This is the score !! You will find most of the Security companys are looking guy's with the min of ten years military service and numerous operational tours under there belts between 30 and 45 years old .

Take a word of advice stay where you are and make a career with the military. You are in 1 of the best Infantry Batt in the British Army if not the best . The jobs are not as numerous as they where within the security world . So think twice before making any move F A B
