A very big thank you to Fusilier Davy Rees for putting Grace and
myself up for a long weekend. It was great meeting up with Alex from
the Royal Marines. Its a pity at the end of the night he had to leave
he six pints on the bar. We now know that the Marines cant last for
12 hours solid. To Roy Kendall, sorry you could not make it, you
missed a great session. Again Davy thanks very much. To you and the
lads in the North Yorkshire Branch and the lads in Devon, see you
soon. FAB

Just a note to remind all it's the anniversary today of Cyril
Smith's passing. We all remember him from the old 2 R IRISH with
his sense of humour, boxing skills and his ultimate act of sacrifice.

The 40th Anniversary Parade is now in full swing Myself, Joe Mills,
and Tom Ripley are working hard in the background to get everything
into place, therefore no announcement will be made yet, as to what the
parade will consist of, but believe me it will be the best parade the
RANGERS have ever done.
One thing I would like to ask, we are working on Saturday the 5th July
as the date for the venue so that gives many of you plenty of time to
get time off if needed therefore that is not an excuse. What I would
like to ask is this if you have not got a green blazer can you please
try and get one in time for the parade, so that we look like the fine
band of brothers that we are, as this will probably be the last major
parade for many of us older Rangers. And also with the many changes
happening in N Ireland parades will start to dwindle away.
As Joe said it is very poingnant that the event is to be held in
Catterick which was one of the Birth Places of the Rangers on the 1st
July 1968.
Please lads support this event, dont let us down. It has been done
for you and you alone. For security reasons all further posts will be
placed on the forum.
